Dr. S. Garrett Davis received his Doctorate in 2003 from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in the greater Memphis area for 4 years before founding Arlington Pet Hospital, PLLC in 2007 and East Memphis Pet Hospital in 2012. Dr. Davis has particular interest and experience with orthopedic and general surgery, and he also spends a significant portion of his time guiding our two staffs at each of our hospital & pet resort locations. Away from work, Dr. Davis enjoys just about anything to do with the outdoors. He particularly enjoys time water and snow skiing with his wife Courtney and their three children Sam, Coco, and Rett. His loyal labrador "Teal" accompanies him nearly every day to work and his tabby cats "Wally" & "Minnie,” are always eagerly waiting by the back door when he arrives home.
Dr. Mary Marshall Fenton is a 2016 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fenton is originally from Paducah, KY and completed her undergraduate studies at Sewanee before attending Auburn University to pursue her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She is currently going through training at the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine to become certified in veterinary acupuncture for both small and large animals and looks forward to incorporating this into her daily practice. In her free time Dr. Fenton enjoys riding her horses Drake and Maarten and going hiking and camping with her husband Taylor and their two dogs, Violet and Luke.
Dr. Heather Laros-Beard received her Doctorate in 2010 from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has special interests in internal medicine & alternative therapies such as Acupuncture and Rehabilitation. Dr. Laros is a 2013 graduate of the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine with a certification in Veterinary Acupuncture for large and small animals. She also received her Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner certification from the University of Tennessee in 2018. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband Daniel, their son JT, and their daughter EmE. Dr. Laros also enjoys weight training, being a mom, and playing with her beloved cat Hammy and her dog Chance.
Dr. Melanie Barnett Fisher is a 2016 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fisher received her Bachelor’s in Biology at the University of Memphis prior to attending veterinary school. Dr. Fisher has special interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. In her free time Dr. Fisher enjoys spending time with her husband and their children. She also enjoys riding horses and fresh and salt water fishing with her family.
Dr. Lynsay was born and raised in Memphis, TN. After getting her Bachelors Degree in Animal and Dairy Science, she continued her education at Mississippi State University to obtain her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Once she graduated in 2018, she returned back to her roots, and has been practicing in the Memphis area ever since. She takes pride in getting to know pet owners and their furry family members, so that individualized plans can be created. She enjoys patient care, preventative style medicine, behavioral medicine, dermatology, and dentistry, just to name a few. Dr. Pannell loves to travel any chance she gets, entertaining and hosting friends with her husband Jason, and playing with their golden retrievers Brew and River, who often frequent the clinics!
Dr. Rachel Savoy joined East Memphis Pet Hospital in December of 2022. She is from a Navy family and moved frequently as a child, but graduated from high school in the Mid-South, and received her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Memphis in 2009. In 2013 she graduated from vet school at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Following graduation, she completed an internship with Memphis Veterinary Specialists. She spent the next 7 years practicing in Denver, Colorado, including 3 years as a Medical Director. Nashville became home for a year, and she provided relief services to area veterinary practices, but in 2022, Memphis called her home! She and her husband, Eric, couldn’t be happier to be back in the Mid-South! Her professional interests include feline medicine, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and community medicine. When she isn’t working, you can find her outside: skiing, hiking, and running are a few of her favorite activities. She also loves traveling, especially for philanthropic spay/neuter campaigns in developing countries. She and her husband have 2 cats, "Clyde" and "Albert".
Cheryl Deshotel joined our team in February 2012 as a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician, and transitioned to our Office Manager in January 2014. She has over 20 years of combined experience in office management and veterinary nursing which she earned while living around the US and abroad as a military spouse. When she is not assisting our clients and staff, you will find her spending time gardening, rooting on her favorite sports teams, traveling, or exploring the outdoors with her husband Bruce and their two rescue dogs Frogger and Bitsy.
Marylynne joined Arlington Pet Hospital in February 2009 and became a Lead Veterinary Technician in 2012. With her many years of experience and well rounded knowledge of the veterinary field, she also assists both our Arlington & East Memphis clinics as an Office Administrator. Marylynne graduated from San Juan College with her Associates of Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology and received her Veterinary Technician License in 2016. In Marylynne's free time, she loves to play with her cats Bella, Martin, and Oliver and her dogs Shay and Molly.
Mollie Baird is a Tennessee native who became our East Memphis Pet Hospital and Resort Manager in January of 2019. After many years in the accounting field, her love of animals and interest in caring for them changed her professional direction and brought her to join our team. Mollie spends her extra time with husband Wilson, children Will and Lizzie, and dogs Cash and Tuff who all love outdoor adventures and spending time together with friends and family.
Rebecca Williams is a licensed Veterinary Technologist and earned her degree from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She became Tech-Assistant Manager of the East Memphis location in 2022 and assists the technician staff in learning new skills and gaining confidence in their knowledge. She is also currently pursuing her Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner certification and works alongside Dr. Laros as her rehab tech. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys kayaking with her husband, Jeff, and hiking with her black lab, Lola.
